SO EXCITED
by Katie
You can thank me later for not using “snow” as a pun for the 10,000th time this week. Luckily, the Bolt Buses will be up and running again tomorrow, and then I will be here:

Come stalk me! (Unless you’re a creeeeeeeper.) I’ll be the one hobo drifting around. Here are some songs to creep around New York to!
The Big Apple, a New York Symphony (District Band represent!)
Mason Jennings – New York City
Newsies – King of New York (Suddenly, I’m respectable!)
Cat Power – New York (I’d have used the original, but, well, there’s no ladies on this list, and this one is pretty funky)
The Strokes – New York City Cops (for Saturday night)
The Decemberists – Song for Myla Goldberg (Me too, Colin Meloy.)
Bright Eyes – Train Under Water (because New York and existential crises go hand-in-hand, right?)
Jay Z feat. Alicia Keys – Empire State of Mind (everyone in DC shits themselves when this song comes on at dance parties.)
The National – So Far Around the Bend (my default song for the bus ride home. It’s appropriate to make pity noises at that.)
And there we have it!

What about Billy Joel “New York State of Mind”?
