Nos Aventures sur New York

Admit it; you were curious about our 4th of July weekend. Did we get drunk and pretend to be legit journalists? Did we act generally misanthropic? Did we stalk semi-famous people?

As to the last one, funny story: Saturday evening, I complained to Mikey, “Man, we didn’t even see any famous people!” He stopped walking, looked at me with a skeptical expression on his face, and responded, “You just saw Jenny Lewis and Conor Oberst.” What I meant was that I didn’t creepily stare at anyone on the sidewalk… except for in Brooklyn, when I stared at everyone. They all look like they’re in a band!

Anyhoo, there are photos galore (mostly of the concert, and none as good as Brooklyn Vegan’s) on flickr. Don’t stalk me too much. Everything else is me in France, me in Italy, me with an animatronic penguin… standard, really. (Also, I just looked, and I’m not sure all the photos are there from the weekend. I’ll sort that out later.)

Basically it was the best weekend possible. How was your 4th?
