WTF! First it tries to prove how fucking cool it is, and now this?
Unlike Mikey, I don’t hate the Beatles. In my current quest to listen to music not being made exclusively by college kids from New York, I made a Beatles station on Pandora. Whatever. I have a desk job; these are the things I do and think about.
The station kicked off with “In My Life,” which I don’t know because I don’t listen to that much Beatles generally, ok, my parents don’t like them and I have no pop cred to my name. DEFENSIVE?? I’m not getting defensive!
Once that song ended, John Lennon’s “Imagine” began. I start making jokes about this being “lazy.” Admit it; it’s totally lazy. But apparently Pandora is a crochety old man, because it followed Lennon with Paul McCartney performing “Penny Lane” live.
Are they fucking with me? I couldn’t help but wonder.
The next song only confirmed my suspicions.
Pandora is a total asshole.

“Brown-eyed Girl” is my favorite song, although I, too, wonder why it would appear on a Beatles station. Were they friends? Did they perform in concert together? There must be some connection we mere mortals are unaware of.
