Case of the Mondays: whoa-oh edition

June 29, 2009

by Katie

I know I’ve said “Whoa-oh”s don’t count as lyrics, and I mostly stand by that statement. When you do it in a way that’s fun and not just filler, I’m willing to let it slide.

Prabir and the Substitutes opened for Tally Hall when I saw them at DC9, but I missed Prabir’s set. I just spotted about 80 lbs of hair and delightfully mismatched clothes, and I thought to myself, “I must listen to that guy.” I give them a thumbs up, and am welcoming the work week with a few “whoa-oh” choruses, even though my office mate keeps glaring at me.
