Michael likes rain, and songs about rain. How absurd! The sun in summer is far superior! The solstice is all up in our business, like a dude in a button-down shirt at a shitty bar. Embrace it like you wouldn’t embrace DateRapist McGee. I’m going to buy a sprinkler and think about vacations.
I can’t call this a “playlist” because there’s very little logic to it, but it’s the best I can do! We know how it turns out when I try to make a real playlist!

Check out “California Dreaming” by the Mamas and the Papas. “Summertime Blues” by Eddie Cochran, a very happy and peppy “Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer” by Nat King Cole, anything by the Beach Boys, “Saturday in the Park”, Chicago.
Now some I found- “Hot Fun in the Summertime”, Sly and the Family Stone, “Up on the Roof”, The Drifters, “Itsy, Bitsy, Teeny, Weeny, Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini”, Bryan Hyland, “Beach Baby”, First Class, “Wildwood Days”, Bobby Rydell, I can’t believe I missed “Boys of Summer”, Don Henleyand “Summer Lovin’ “from Grease.

Also, nfw is anything by Loving Spoonful in any way better than Regina Spektor. Ahhh! I need her CD!
