Case of the Mondays: Thao, “Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind”

I didn’t see Thao at the Black Cat on Friday. I was at Iota, as you should have been, fools. (Unrelated, but I also forewent the Flaming Lips on Sunday and Benjy Ferree on Saturday. So if anyone wants to tell me how those went, I’m all ears. Is “forewent” even a word?)

In honor of Monday morning, which I’m spending on-site at the National Institute of Health, here is Thao covering the Loving Spoonful. I just listened to the original; I love the shameless 70s poppiness of it. Will people in 30 years listen to my favorite bands and wryly say, “I love the millenial poppiness of it!” I’m also a little obsessed with Thao. I also love sock puppets. Thus, I present Thao’s cover of “Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind.”
