Friday New Song-stravaganza: Man Man “Rabbit Habits”

April 10, 2009

by Michael

So I totally ganked this from Kate today, because unlike her, I actually have a new song to but up here, which I doubt she does.

So I first discovered Man Man years ago because they were opening for Modest Mouse, but I think they had a different name, and I quickly forgot them.  HUGE MISTAKE.  Basically they are fantastic.  They sound like a vaudeville band from the 40′s on crack, and are clearly huge nerds.  Which, if you have been paying attention to the stuff I post here,  you would know scores extremely high on me “I like this” meter.  I highly suggest checking out things of theirs other than just this song.

Onto the song, aside from being damn good with catchy tune and a happy melody, it might be the cutest most awkward thing ever.  Fred Armisen is hysterical (something I never expected) and Grace from 30 Rock is so precious.   Enjoy

Hey, #1 I had a lot of prospective new songs.
#2 I always post this at the end of the day, so it’s not really fair of you to “gank” it at noon, cheater.
#3 I love this song for the line “You’re a delicate little pelican.” Whaaat does that even mean?
